This is who I am...

I dive in head first.  In life.  In relationship.  In people.   I love seeing dreams come true. Especially with home ownership.  A defining moment from my childhood captures this spirit well. One day in the fourth grade, our teacher, Mrs. Schroeder, gave us the freedom to arrange our desks next to our friends. While most of my classmates quickly formed little clusters, I noticed Christine sitting alone. No one wanted to sit next to her. Without much thought, I moved my desk next to hers, driven to make sure she felt included and valued. This act didn’t go unnoticed. Mrs. Schroeder later noted in my report card, “Merrily befriends the needy, the unloved. She consistently ensures that others are taken care of, always putting the needs of her classmates above her own.” That year, 1971, was not just another year of school; my core character began to emerge. Compassion and community was significant—a theme that has guided my personal and professional life ever since. I believe this a calling. My calling.

This is where I am...

Over the last 40 years, I’ve dabbled in a few things, always on the lookout for that perfect fit. I’ve done a handful of jobs from marketing books for authors to being the creative brain behind a non-denominational church. And then, quite unexpectedly, I stumbled into the world of home lending.

The first few years were rough. Let’s just say the buyer experience left much to be desired and felt more like a wicked corn maze than a welcome mat. I made it my mission to turn that around and create an experience that felt more like a warm hug and less like a cold handshake.

I wasn’t interested in being just another cog in the machine—I wanted a place that was cutting-edge yet felt like family. I didn’t want to be a small fish in a big ocean; I was aiming to be a big fish in a smart pond.  Somewhere that I could make a difference, have an impact.  And would be welcomed with open arms.

After a decade of searching, I found my tribe at Mpire Financial. I joined them in November 2022 as a Mortgage Advisor and Broker. They dangled the bait of a franchise opportunity, but I decided to dip my toes in the water first. A year in, I took the plunge and joined the team as a full partner, not just dabbling around the edges.

They even whipped up a fancy title for me: Chief Experience Officer at Mpire Financial, LLC. Yep, CXO—that’s me!

I now manage a fantastic operations team of three and oversee 18 incredible Loan Officers as their sales manager. My mission? To ensure everyone at Mpire—and every client we meet—has a first-class experience.

Oh, and when I’m not orchestrating mortgage magic, I’m personally helping folks secure their dream homes with residential mortgages.

This is who I help...

All real estate owners and buyers in Texas who want honest answers, superior service, and a knowledgable advisor to help them navigate their home financing.

I also help Texas Real Estate Professionals who want to grow their business and showcase their properties with the latest marketing technology available to the Real Estate Market.

I help Loan Officers.

I’ve developed a great team and process that allows Loan Officers to focus on connecting with realtors and clients, while leaving the nitty gritty details to the support team.

This is how I help them...

I help buyers.

No one ever said “Oh I can’t wait to have a mortgage.”  Realistically, it was/is the dream of owning your own home.

That’s where I come in.  I not only want to make dreams come true, I want to help build wealth.  And that comes from homeownership. I want to help secure futures.  I want to help spread blessings, to be a blessing.  To help others be a blessing.

My team is crucial to that process.  We work together  to determine the best financing package for every scenario.  We look at not only the impact of their loan on their finances today, but five, fifteen and even thirty years down the road.

I’m great at connecting clients with the best real estate professionals out there.  I’m picky.  Why?  Having the wrong real estate agent can ruin the buying experience.

And I’m in to ensuring the best buyer experience.

Behind the scenes...

I’ve called the vibrant San Antonio area home for nearly 40 years, and my greatest joy in life is my family. As a proud mom to three wonderful children, a step-mom to four amazing individuals,  a doting grandmother to two precious babies, and step grandma to 9 amazing kids, family gatherings are the heart and soul of my home. And though I may not adopt stray dogs, my heart is always open to welcoming people into our fold—plus the occasional visits from my sister-in-law’s dog Lulu.

My home is a lively hub filled with the laughter and love of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and those whom I consider part of our extended family. I cherish the bonds we share and relish in being the ‘second mom’ to the neighborhood kids who brighten our days.

When I’m not surrounded by loved ones, you’ll likely find me near the water, whether it’s plunging my pool, escaping to the lake, or basking in the serenity of the beach. As a member of CrossBridge Community Church, I’m actively involved in the Women’s Ministry, where I find fulfillment in serving and connecting with others in our community.

On top of it all, I have the joy of sharing my life with my beloved husband, Randy, who is not only my partner in life but also a talented real estate developer and builder.

Oh, and did I mention? I also play the cello.
